Label ID & Stock Take
With a vast catalogue of products, an existing customer who specialises in the production and bottling of chemicals contacted us, reporting significant challenges with their stock taking and inventory management processes. Given the large volume and variety of products they handle, tracking and managing stock was becoming increasingly difficult and time-consuming, especially as they grew and expanded their operations.
The client faced challenges in accurately tracking products, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that labels were consistent and correctly applied across different batches. Due to the chemical nature of their products, each item had its own set of requirements for labeling, including hazard warnings, product specifications, and batch numbers. These detailed labeling requirements made it even more complex to conduct stock-taking processes efficiently.
Our Solution?
Our team determined that the most effective solution would be the use of a high-speed inkjet printer capable of sequentially numbering the backing liner of the labels. This approach perfectly aligned with the customer's needs, as it allows them to easily track the remaining number of labels on each roll, while also printing the label's SKU and batch number, simplifying the reordering process. The success of this system has been so significant that we have now made it a standard service available to all our customers, enhancing inventory management and streamlining operations across the board.
